“I have been lifting with Jeff for about six years now. I got the opportunity to be one of his athletes that started training in his shed behind his house. That shed may have not been the ideal workout space for many but to me it was everything. At the beginning when going out to Jeff’s for a workout I was only in it to gain strength and stay in shape, although after a couple months into his workouts I found Jeff’s program to be much more than just building muscle. Through Jeff’s program I built life long relationships, I found confidence in myself, I grew stronger both mentally and physically, I found out who I wanted to be as a person, I found my career in his gym, I reached goals I never thought I would reach, and it truly shaped me into the person and athlete I am today. Weightlifting became a passion for me. I have never been pushed harder in my life. If there’s one thing I have learned from Jeff it is that “it will always feel better when it stops hurting.” Jeff would repetitively mention this to me every single workout. I would complain about being sore or whine about how hard the workout is or almost give up on some of my lifts because it was too heavy. I have never and will never forget that statement, not only is it true about physical pain but it is true about psychological pain. BBJ will forever hold my favorite memories and will always be big part of who I am. If you ever get the opportunity to train with Jeff or Dakota I highly recommend it. “Forever Strong Training Center prepared me in more than a number of ways as an athlete training in high school preparing for collegiate sports. I think the tangibles speak for themselves. Training at Forever Strong did make me stronger, faster, and more explosive. “I started lifting with Jeff almost seven years ago as a freshman in high school after being referred by a teammate. With no prior lifting experience, my technique was almost nonexistent and I could hardly squat an empty barbell. It’s honestly crazy to look back now, as I’m playing softball in college, and see where I started. Unlike so many other coaches, Jeff never saw my smallness and weakness as a deterrent. “About three months after I started working out at Jeff’s, I remember calling him randomly one Friday morning on my way to a golf outing.  I had just realized how much stronger I felt and how good the workouts made me feel personally. I love that the workouts are full body workouts every week and he changes them every week!
